Good news for PS5 players: a few weeks before its release, Gears of War: Reloaded will be able to be tested in preview during a beta session to come this week.
There is still a short time, the simple idea of writing such an article would have been synonymous with pure madness. And yet it now tends to become the norm. After Sea of Thieves, Grounded, Indiana Jones and the old circle or Forza Horizon 5another flagship license from Xbox is about to land on PS5: Gears of War. Indeed, as announced last month, the first opus will arrive this summer on the Sony console, with a remaster of the most beautiful effect. And the good news is that the latter can already be approached this week.
A beta approaching for Gears of War: Reloaded
Indeed, we learned it on the occasion of the Xbox Games Showcase on Sunday, the multiplayer mode of Gears of War: Reloaded will be entitled to a first beta session this week. But beware, it will not be open to everyone. To be able to take advantage of it, you will have to meet one of the following three conditions:
- You pre -tone the game in digital version on Xbox Series, PC, or PS5
- Be subscribed to the ultimate game pass or the PC Game Pass
- You have a digital copy of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition (Bought before May 5 at 6 p.m.).
If this is the case, you will then have your access to the beta of Gears of War: Reloaded, which will be held more specifically from Friday June 13 at 9 p.m. (French time) on Sunday, June 15, same time. This will allow you to test the death match by team mode, which will be playable on three maps: Gridlock, Raven Down and Gold Rush.
A second session already announced
Note however that it will not be the only opportunity to put your hands on Gears of War: Reloaded in preview. A second beta session will also take place the following weekend, from Friday June 20 at 9 p.m. to Sunday June 22, same time. And this time, it will then be an opportunity to test the King of the Hill mode on the channel card, in addition to finding the Match to Death Match mode embellished with two additional maps: Courtyard and War Machine.
This should make many happy, therefore. Finally, it should obviously be noted that the beta of Gears of War: Reloaded will be both available on PS5, Xbox Series and PC. Moreover, as announced by the studio, it will also be possible to enjoy the crossplay game with your friends, regardless of the platform on which they are. As for the final version of the game, it will be released from August 26, 2025 on all the aforementioned supports.
