After many years of absence and a return expected during the recent state of play, Pragmata still lifts the veil a little thanks to Capcom this time.
Again presented during the recent State of Play With a new release date, this time a priori real, during 2026, Pragmatic was one of the CAPCOM SPOTLIGHT brand guests, the Japanese giant’s special showcase. We were able to see a little more about his improbable duo involving a soldier and the android Diana in this new license of action.
Announced for the very first time in 2020, Pragmata clearly took back behind the scenes of Capcom. However, the Japanese studio seems to be ready to immerse us in its new space license, in the company of Hugh, a sort of mercenary, and Diana, an android taking the form of a little girl with many capacities related to cybernetics. Our improbable duo is stuck in a resort on the Moon controlled by AI and using advanced 3D printing technology, and has to stick together to get out.
The adventure of Pragmata thus takes the form of an action-adventure game alternating between platform phases and aren fights against enormous machines. On the one hand, Hugh will be able to count on its combination with propellants to move, while Diana will interface with the station, in particular by opening doors. On the fighting side, Hugh reflexes will be put to the test, with dodges to be placed at the right time to slow down time and open an ideal window to target the weaknesses of our opponents. In her back, Diana will first have to hack her world via a mini-health mini-Jeu of capital importance to allow her partner to attack.
Throughout the history of Pragmata, the links between Hugh and Diana will strengthen, and we will be able to learn more about them, and the reasons for their fortuitous encounter in this station filled with mysteries. In any case, the whole is rather promising, but it will be necessary to wait until 2026 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series to get your hands on it.
