While the mystery still hovered over the holding of a Ubisoft Forward potential this summer, new information shared by journalist Stephen Totilo comes to put an end to the question.
This time, we can say: the summer conference ball is officially launched. While we thought the Summer Game Fest From Geoff Keighley would be the first to kick off, it was ultimately PlayStation who had this privilege from last night with the last edition of his State of Play. The Japanese publisher was then the first of a long Conference series To come, a series which, however, will be visibly done without the presence of certain major publishers of the industry. Starting with Ubisoft, whose absence is confirmed.
No Ubisoft Forward this summer
Indeed, if many publishers such as Capcom, Electronic Arts, Square Enix or Nintendo had used to hold their own conferences around June, all are currently shining by their absence. And if we are not necessarily safe, perhaps, to see them announce an event at the last minute as PlayStation could have done this week, it is now certain that the festivities will have to take place without dedicated speaking from Ubisoft.
This is in any case what journalist Stephen Totilo said in a series of messages published on Bluesky. “The Ubisoft Forward, which was a digital and person in person for the company’s games almost every month of June, will not take place this year” assured the founder of Game File. He then adds: “A representative said to me: ‘We are always eager to get in touch with our players and present our games … We continue to explore the possibilities to share updates, and we are impatient to share more information on a later date”.
Ads are still expected
That said, that the players reassure themselves: the absence of Ubisoft Forward does not mean that no announcement will be made from the publisher this summer. Because if we know that the latter will not be present during the Summer Game Fest, Totilo still tells us that it will be during two other conferences: during the IGN Live, June 7-8, and during the PC Gaming Show, June 8. Ubisoft has also already confirmed its participation in Gamescom, which will be held from August 20 to 24.
“I don’t think Abisoft has a big line-up for the rest of the year. Knowing in addition that it is in cost reduction mode, it is not surprising that they make the dead end ” Then rightly specifies the journalist. It remains to be seen whether we can still expect a few little surprises from the publisher who, as we know, has multiple projects in the pipes. Among others in particular: the remake of Prince of Persia: the sands of timeexpected for 2026, and that of Splinter Cellwho recently renovated him. Not to mention, of course, the many projects Assassin’s Creed in development.
