Monster Hunter Wilds: his studio wants to take radical measures against some players

Faced with the anger of some Monster Hunter Wilds players who went too far, his Capcom studio threatens to take radical measures against them.

For several days, Monster Hunter Wilds is the subject of the dissatisfaction of the Community of Hunters of prohibited land. They notably criticize major performance problems still not resolved since the release of the game last February, as well as a lack of content, mainly fueled by major updates like the recent Title Update 2. This dissatisfaction is expressed in particular via a massive review of the title on Steam, and for some by extremely virulent messages for the attention of its developers. Which motivated Capcom to split a press release heavy with meaning.

The guild takes action against certain monster hunter Wilds hunters

After its dazzling commercial success following its launch on February 28, 2025, Monster Hunter Wilds is recently under the spotlight for a much less joyful reason. Five months after its launch, the title unfortunately suffers from several problems not entirely resolved, in particular concerning in-teeth performance, on all platforms. This despite several updates, which obviously have not improved the situation enough. In any case, this is what many players feel, who make their Capcom discontent know very vociously.

Some, however, seem to have gone far too far in the expression of their anger vis-à-vis the situation of Monster Hunter Wilds. In a recent press release, Capcom has indeed indicated that Developers have suffered waves of harassment in particular in the form of threats. Faced with such a situation, the Japanese studio says it is ready to take radical measures and to seize justice against guilty players to end such actions.

Here are the content of the Capcom press release in substance in the “harassment of customers” with regard to the developers of Monster Hunter Wilds: ” We take customer reviews and requests seriously because they are essential to improve our products and services. But slander, defamation, intimidation and threats against our employees harm the work environment and the peace of mind of affected people. Consequently, we will respond appropriately to these acts, by contacting the police or a lawyer in order to initiate legal and criminal proceedings, if necessary ».
