To thank players for its many prestigious awards, Clair Obscur Expedition 33 recently welcomed some free content that one inventive player has already exploded.
Steam roller including Joystick et Game Awards 2025 with a veritable tidal wave of prices to its credit, Chiaroscuro Expedition 33 was entitled to a thank you update » free, notably introducing new weapons, icons, music, as well as new places to explore. It also introduced a new ultimate boss, even more terrifying than the one already present in the base game. With a little imagination, however, a content creator found a way to settle his score with panache. To discuss all this, however, we will have to SPOILER some elements of the game. So don’t go any further if you haven’t played it yet.
Clair Obscur Expedition 33’s new hardest boss erased in one brush stroke
Once you complete Act 2 of Clair Obscur Expedition 33, you receive as a precious reward the pictogram allowing you to exceed the famous limit of 9,999 damage. From then on, the possibilities of making completely crazy builds disappear. And that wasn’t too much to overcome many “endgame” bosses that were much more difficult than the final confrontation of the story. Among them, the ultimate boss of the base game, Simon the Divergent Starwhich calmed many expeditions.
In its latest free update, Clair Obscur Expedition 33 notably welcomed a even more monstrous version of Simonand which we can face as final boss of the Eternal Tower. Despite a certain peak in difficulty, it is possible to defeat it as if it were a common basic enemy, provided you have a sufficiently powerful build, like the one imagined by BltzZ, who found a way to truly ridicule the most terrifying new boss of Clair Obscur Expedition 33.
He has in fact developed a build allowing Maelle, provided you apply a mark and burns to this improved version of Simon, of eliminate him in a single turn and inflicting… more than a billion damage ! BltzZ even believes that it is possible to exceed 3 billion damage with this buildtherefore allowing you to annihilate absolutely any enemy in Clair Obscur Expedition 33.
