A Fallout New Vegas mystery comes out of its Vault thanks to the series

Despite its cult character, Fallout New Vegas, developed by Obsidian Entertainment, experienced a chaotic and painful development. First of all, it had a terribly short development time. This therefore involved enormous sacrifices and the abandonment of many ideas and concepts due to lack of time and resources. Among these elements cut from the final gamewe have in particular the mysterious Vault 24.

Like all Vaults, this one unfortunately absent from Fallout New Vegas was the setting for dark experiments by Vault-Tec and its partner companies. Since it was not possible to visit in the base game, it was the subject of many fan theories, before the first episode of season 2 of the series does not provide a definitive answer on its subject.

In their quest to find Lucy’s father, she and the Ghoul visit Vault 24 in Fallout New Vegas and discover the horrible experience that motivated its construction. We learn that Vault-Tec scientists used it to transform its Residents into… communists ! This through lobotomization and conditioning in clearly inhumane conditions. In addition to this, Vault 24 was also the setting for an experiment aimed at create a chip capable of mentally controlling its wearer. A visibly central element in the storyline of season 2 of the Fallout series and which rather skillfully resolves one of the biggest mysteries of Fallout New Vegas.
