The next long -awaited God of War is talking about him, but alas, this is not good news. And it may well disappoint more than a fan.
While no official announcement has yet been made, the future game God of War Centered on Greek mythology is talking about him … but not necessarily for good reasons. Indeed, the latest rumors are not very reassuring, even if nothing has been confirmed.
Bad news for God of War
In fact, according to Jeff Grubbwell -known journalist in the middle and accustomed to scoops, The next God of War project would have been rejected internally at 2026. A discreet revelation, slipped around his podcast, which again fuels speculations around this mysterious prequel. A leak from a podcast, not a press release
Around 31:45 of his video, Grubb evokes a ” Unchecked project linked to God of War And specifies that The game is now planned for 2026. No date is advanced, nor any details on the output window. But the indication is clear: Development will take more time than expected.
A prequel still very vague
This new title, not yet officially unveiled by Santa Monica Studio, would be distinct from the Nordic episodes (Good of War 2018 et Ragnarök). It would be a homecomingin the Greek period of the character, which suggests a prequel staging a younger Kratos. Nothing has been confirmed on this subject, but several concordant sources, speak of a refocused solo game on the hero’s beginnings, before his exile to the Nordic land. Other sources also talk about the possibility of playing your Brother Deimos.
The exact reason for the postponement of God of War remains unknown, but some evoke The doublers’ strike who has paralyzed part of the industry in recent months. A return of the actor Antony del Rio (votes of Kratos young in certain content) could also be envisaged if the project explores the pre-Chains of Olympus.
Other hypotheses suggest that The style of the game could evolvewith rumors evoking an isometric or semi-narrative approach. In this case, additional deadlines could allow Santa Monica to refine a new formula.
