On the way back after more than a decade of absence, Skate is now preparing to launch its largest phase of playtest to date, with many changes announced.
It looks like this summer, skateboard enthusiasts will not have time to get bored! While Activision is actively preparing for the release of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 Next month, Electronic Arts continues to floor on the return of a franchise disappeared for already fifteen years: Skate. And after being entitled to a first test session a few months ago, this fourth opus developed by Full Circle will be approached again next month, before the launch of its early access at the end of the summer.
Skate reveals his next big update
The studio has just announced it via a long press release, the future competitor of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 will indeed be entitled to a new phase of Playtestes next month, which will start more specifically from July 2. And as Full Circle proudly specifies, it will then be the “Bigger playtest” Organized for the game so far. On the program of this:
- A major improvement in title visuals, with enriched and above all more alive environments but also reworked lights
- A recasting of the user interface, with new visual effects and an improved card
- The increase up to 150 of the maximum number of players gathered on the same server
- The addition of new missions, the total of which has today been tripled
- Adding new challenges, with more than 140 activities now available
- The overhaul of the awards and progression system
- The appearance of new personalization options for his character
Knowing that this is also added many other changes, whether in terms of music and sound, replay editor, general quality of experience, haptic returns, and more. “None of this would be possible without all our testers who tell us what you like, what you want and what you would like to improve” Then specify the developers. “The whole team is attentive, and we will continue to work with you to develop, develop and improve skate”.
And precisely, if you want to be among the players likely to help Full Circle in its approach, you can always register for Program Skate Insider In order to be invited to participate in the next Playtests, which will take place on PlayStation, Xbox and PC. Be careful however, you only have until June 27 to register, after which it will be too late. Finally, note that for any registration in the program, you will receive a bonus of a skateboard and exclusive stickers to be used as soon as the early access is launched, the date of which remains for the moment to be specified.
