Netflix is going all out for its new event series and we finally know when exactly it will arrive. The fans can’t wait any longer, even if it divides some spectators.
Since the launch of its SVOD platform, Netflix has managed to create an event with a good number of films and series. But before Squid Game or the phenomenon KPop Demon Hunterthere was The Money Heist. A series about a gang of ultra-well-organized thugs who carried out high-level heists, calculated down to the millimeter. While the series is over, the license survives and will return very soon.
A highly anticipated new Netflix series is showing again
After four particularly intense games, The Money Heist ended up giving up his apron, but the license had not yet said its last word. The franchise continues thanks to a spin-off around a key character from the main series: Berlin. The great friend of the famous Professor, charmer and high-flying burglar, was given the right to his own series taking place before the events that occurred in The Money Heist.
After a particularly well-received first season on Netflix, The Gentleman will soon return with a second season: Berlin and the Lady with an Ermine. In this new part, Berlin will bring together its team for a new heist towards Seville. He is indeed preparing to fake a heist in order to cover a much darker and more important objective: his own revenge. For this season 2, the series should introduce us to a darker and tortured version of the character. Berlin and the Lady with an Ermine is expected on May 15, 2026 on Netflix.
With this new trailer, Netflix has managed to arouse the curiosity of fans who are eagerly awaiting this sequel. But it also awakened the discontented. Many voices are being heard at the moment on social networks, insisting that Netflix tends to take the easy route by constantly renewing its favorite licenses ad nauseam without really leaving room for new products, or by killing off promising universes.
Season 2 of Berlin therefore divides opinions a little, but it should certainly be a hit like the first. Verdict in May 2026.
